In His Own Words
•  How I became interested in my sport:  I became interested in the sport when I was very little. I had started running at 6 years old on the AAU circuit and then from there sprinting and running became a passion for me.
•  Three words that describe me:  Persistent, responsible, confident
•  My goals for the 2017-18 academic year — academic, athletic, personal:  To prosper academically by making the dean's list, dropping my times on the track and competing in the conference championship and keeping myself upbeat on a daily basis
•  The most creative thing I do, or something creative I'd like to be able to do:  I used to make collages out of pictures from the sports section of my hometown newspaper, but I would like to be an effective poet
•  The tastiest thing I can cook:  Guacamole
•  Favorite ice cream flavor:  Mint chocolate
•  Special routine or superstition before I compete:  I usually turn my music all the way up on the ride to the track meet so I can get hyped
•  My definition of success:  Being persistent until the fruits of your labor prosper
•  A movie title that would describe my life:  Top Secret
•  The best advice I was ever given:  Do your best and let God do the rest
