• First year at XULA
• Transfer from Kenyon College, an NCAA Division III school in Gambier, Ohio
— about 45 miles northeast of Columbus
2017 (Freshman — Kenyon)
• Best times of 7.43 seconds in the 60-meter dash indoors
and 11.50 in 100 and 23.81 in the 200 outdoors
• Ran leadoff segment on 800-meter relay team that
placed eighth at DIII Indoor All-Ohio Championships
• Ran leadoff segment on 800 relay and helped the Lords score a point
with an eighth-place finish at the North Coast Athletic Conference indoor meet

In His Own Words
• How I became interested in my sport:
I became interested in the sport when I was very little. I had started running at 6 years old on the AAU circuit and then from there sprinting and running became a passion for me.
• Three words that describe me: Persistent, responsible, confident
• My goals for the 2017-18 academic year — academic, athletic, personal:
To prosper academically by making the dean's list, dropping my times on the track and competing in the conference championship and keeping myself upbeat on a daily basis
• The most creative thing I do, or something creative I'd like to be able to do:
I used to make collages out of pictures from the sports section of my hometown newspaper, but I would like to be an effective poet
• The tastiest thing I can cook: Guacamole
• Favorite ice cream flavor: Mint chocolate
• Special routine or superstition before I compete: I usually turn my music all the way up on the ride to the track meet so I can get hyped
• My definition of success: Being persistent until the fruits of your labor prosper
• A movie title that would describe my life: Top Secret
• The best advice I was ever given: Do your best and let God do the rest
