NEW ORLEANS — Xavier University of Louisiana improved its baseball win streak to 11 games with 10-0 and 3-2 victories Saturday against Southeastern Baptist at Wesley Barrow Stadium.
In the opener
Juwan Fitch (5-0) pitched XULA's third shutout of the season. The game ended with two out in the fifth because of the 10-run rule; XULA scored five times in that inning, and
Danny Coleman's three-run double ended it.
The second game was much more challenging for XULA. The Chargers led 2-0 through 2 1/2 innings, but XULA tied the score in its half of the third when
Jose Fulgencio doubled home pinch-runner

Antonio Rodriguez with two out.
XULA went ahead for good in the fourth inning when Rodriguez's infield single scored
Carlos Hernandez.
Reliever
Jamal Allen struck out eight in the final four innings. Allen retired the side in order in the seventh on called third strikes.
XULA (15-3) will travel to LSU-Alexandria for 4 p,m. Tuesday doubleheader, then play host to Mississippi University for Women in a three-game series: game one at 4:30 p.m. Friday and a noon Saturday doubleheader.
