Taylor Dewitt's 17 points and 13 rebounds Thursday led Xavier University of Louisiana to a 78-55 Red River Athletic Conference women's basketball victory against Texas College at the Convocation Center.
The Gold Nuggets are 6-0 for the first time in 13 seasons. They're 3-0 in the RRAC.
Dewitt, a fifth-year player in her first season at XULA, produced the Gold Nuggets' first double-figure rebounding game and first double-double this season.
After a tie at 14 through one quarter, XULA led 36-26 at halftime and 55-38 through three quarters.
Shylia McGee, 0-of-13 on 3-pointers in the first five games this season, made her first three treys and finished with a season-high 15 points.
Sierra Headquist had 10 points, six rebounds and two blocks.
Rayna Ross had six assists.
Mystique Womack scored 15 points for Texas College (3-8, 1-4). XULA outshot the Lady Steers 45.2 to 28.1 percent from the floor.
XULA will play host to RRAC opponent Jarvis Christian at 2 p.m. Saturday.
