CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — Three from Xavier University
of Louisiana women's volleyball produced double-doubles, but Marian (Ind.) defeated the Gold Nuggets
25-13, 25-19, 21-25, 25-23 in the Campbellsville Labor Day Tournament.
It was the first of two Friday matches for XULA (2-3).
The Gold Nuggets' other match, against Life, was pushed up one hour to 6 p.m. EDT.
Amani Mason, in her collegiate debut, led XULA with
18 kills and 15 digs.
Sydney Murray had 10 kills and 10 digs, and
Bengisu Kazazlar had 28 assists and 16 digs.
Mikayla Christiansen had 11 kills, two aces and 14 digs for Marian (5-3),
and Gabby Fish had 10 kills and three blocks.

Kennedi Bell had six blocks,
Stella Dineva
had eight kills and six digs,
Ruxandra Flueras had 19 digs in her XULA debut, and
Charity Metcalf had nine assists and five digs.

XULA led 15-13 in the second set and 21-20 in the fourth.
