NEW ORLEANS — Jack Kalisky and Joshua Milton homered, and Donovan Gamez earned his 10th victory Friday to lead Our Lady of the Lake to a 9-4 decision against Xavier University of Louisiana in the opener of a three-game Red River Athletic Conference baseball series.
        The Gold Rush (11-28 overall, 8-20 Red River) and the Saints (26-21, 18-10) will meet in a noon Saturday doubleheader at Skelly-Rupp Stadium (2515 Vespasian Blvd, zip 70114). Honored between games will be XULA seniors Alex Crews, Cam Finn, Colby Henderson, Zion Morris, Skyler Roberts, Jayden Smith, Caleb Washington and Hunter Wheaton.
        OLLU never trailed after Kalisky hit a two-run homer to center field with two out in the first inning. Milton led off the ninth with a homer.
        Gamez (10-3) pitched the first five innings and departed with a 7-1 lead. He allowed three hits and two walks and struck out five.
        Smith, Finn, Crews and Washington drove in the Gold Rush runs. Miles Peterson had two hits and a walk and stole two bases, and Keshawn Wright scored twice.
