ALEXANDRIA, La. - After a rough first day in Central Louisiana, the Xavier baseball team found its footing in a 5-1 loss to LSU-A.
Starting pitcher Jeremy Clark took the loss, but struck out 5 over 6.1 innings of work.Â
Charles Carter was the star for the Gold Rush on offense, going 1-for-2 with a double and a run scored.Â
Jayden Smith and Paul Ramseur were also solid, providing a double and a triple, respectively.Â
Xavier stays on the road for its next game, a mid-week visit to NCAA Division I opponent Nicholls State on Wednesday. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.
