The Southern States Athletic Conference revealed today that XULA Volleyball junior outside hitter Kamea Uitenham is among the best at her position in the conference. 

Uitenham, a native of Hutto, Texas, and a product of Hendrickson High School, is averaging 3.14 kills per set, which ties her for fourth in the conference with Point's Marley Manning. 

Tennessee Southern's Ashlee Kraft is first in the SSAC with a 3.47 average, followed by Mobile's Kaylin Johnson (3.44) and William Carey's Rachel Stegall (3.28).

The Gold Nuggets open SSAC play Saturday at noon with a home match against in-city opponent Loyola.
