MONTGOMERY, Ala. – For the second consecutive week, XULA Volleyball featured in the Southern States Athletic Conference's awards.
Monday, the SSAC announced its Volleyball Players of the Week, and Xavier junior
Kennedy Campbell was named the league's top attacker.
Campbell, a junior right side from Atlanta, produced 28 kills (5.6 k/s, .400 hitting percentage) in the Gold Nuggets' exciting, come-from-behind win over Loyola last weekend. For the season, Campbell now ranks third in the SSAC in hitting percentage (.312).
This was the first time in Campbell's short time in the SSAC that she has won a weekly award. Last week, XULA freshman
Kamrynn Williams was named Setter of the Week.
Olivia Kelly of Faulkner earned Setter of the Week, and Evelyn Araujo of William Carey got Defender of the Week to round out this week's SSAC volleyball awards.
