Henderson joins Clayton, Mayberry among SSAC stat leaders

As of Sept. 29, a snapshot of SSAC volleyball statistics shows a trio of Gold Nuggets among the top 5 in four separate categories.

Junior blocker Zoie Mayberry continues to rate among the best defensive specialists in the Southern States Athletic Conference. For the third consecutive week, she is No. 2 in blocks per set with an average of 1.27. She has now also cracked the top-5 and is fifth in total blocks with 52.

A new entry to the conference top 5's is freshman outside hitter Charlie Henderson, who proved she is adept on the serve as she is on the attack.

Henderson is now third in service aces per set with an average of 0.57, a number helped by her incredible 6-ace match against Blue Mountain last Saturday.

Redshirt sophomore Michaela Clayton is third in the SSAC in digs per set with 4.24.

XUA Volleyball is on the road this week, with conference road matches at Brewton-Parker on Friday at 5 p.m. CST and Wesleyan on Saturaday at 11 a.m. CST.
