• In his first season as an assistant coach of XULA baseball,
which in 2021 competed intercollegiately for the first time since 1960
• Primary staff responsibility is to instruct the infielders and outfielders
• Continues to serve as an instructor at the MLB Youth Academy in New Orleans
and has done so since its debut in 2013
• Spent 14 seasons as a baseball coach at his alma mater, St. Augstine High School
in New Orleans . . . Head coach of the Purple Knights his final three seasons, 2017-19
• His 2018 St. Aug team defeated Archbishop Rummel two games to one in the opening round
of the LHSAA Division I state playoffs to advance to the quarterfinals . . . Those were St. Aug's
first-ever victories and advancement in the LHSAA baseball postseason
• 1989 graduate of St. Augustine High School in New Orleans
