•  Completed all his math and English requirements for XULA via dual enrollment during high school
•  His father, also named Jerrod Jessie, played three seasons of basketball at Nicholls State University (1996-99) and was on the Colonels' 1997-98 team that won the Southland Conference regular-season and tournament championships and qualified for the NCAA Tournament
•  His mother, Jucynthia Jessie, is director of admissions and recruitment for XULA's College of Pharmacy
