• Reached double figures in assists twice . . . His 12 assists at Rust on Jan. 13, 2020,
were the most in a game by a XULA man since Wanto Joseph on Jan. 14, 2013, and the most
by a XULA freshman since Shaun Dumas on Jan. 13, 2005
• Entered GCAC game at NAIA No. 25 Talladega averaging 4.2 points per game —
then scored a game- and career-high 23 points, 16 in the first half, to help XULA win 91-78
and score its most points at Talladega since 1978 . . . Jones made 5-of-6 3-pointers,
4-of-5 in the first half, and scored the most points by a XULA freshman in a road game since December 2003
• Made his first 14 free-throw attempts as a collegian; finally missed in the second
half at Rust on Jan. 13, 2020
• Helped XULA finish 27-6 overall, 12-2 GCAC (champion) and, for the first time 1996, win
the GCAC Tournament
• XULA was No. 10 in the final NAIA Division I coaches poll — XULA's highest ranking since 10th on Feb. 7, 2011
• XULA qualified automatically for NAIA Division I nationals at Kansas City, Mo.,
and a first-round matchup with Clarke (Iowa), but the NAIA canceled the tournament because of the COVID-19 pandemic

• District 7-1A MVP as a senior

• Helped Lafayette Christian's Knights win LHSAA state championships his final three seasons
and reach the semifinals his freshman year
• Capped his LCA career with 13 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals
in a 56-51 victory against Hamilton Christian in the LHSAA Division IV state final at Lake Charles
• All-district second team as a junior and sophomore
• Team captain as a senior
• Also sprinted for the track and field team . . . Placed fifth in the 100 meters as the LHSAA Class 1A state
meet as a senior (11.25 seconds) and helped LCA place third in the team standings
• Helped LCA's boys with the Region II-1A team championship his senior year after
placing second in the 100 and anchoring the Knights to the 400 relay title
