•  One of XULA's most accomplished distance runners joins the coaching staff for the 2020-21 season
•  Received bachelor of science degree from XULA in 2015
•  Set XULA cross country records for four miles (21 minutes, 21.7 seconds) and 5,000 meters (15:30.90) in 2014
•  First athlete to win three Gulf Coast Athletic Conference individual championships in cross country (2011, 2013, 2014)
•  Helped XULA win four consecutive GCAC men's cross country team championships (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014)
•  Holds GCAC men's cross country record of 15 career Runner of the Week awards
•  All-Louisiana three times in cross country (2011, 2013, 2014) and the Louisiana Freshman of the Year in 2011
•  In track and field he was a four-time GCAC champion outdoors, winning the 1,500 in 2013 and the 5,000 in 2012, 2013 and 2014
•  He and his sister, Zahri, were featured in the Nov. 7, 2011, edition of Sports Illustrated magazine's weekly Faces in the Crowd feature
•  From Kingwood, Texas — a Houston suburb — and a 2011 graduate of Kingwood Park High School
