Hilary Lobenstein joined the Xavier University of Louisiana women's volleyball staff on July 28, 2014.
The 2018 season will be Lobenstein's fifth with the Gold Nuggets.
Lobenstein helped the Gold Nuggets win Gulf Coast Athletic Conference
regular-season and tournament championships in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 and qualify for the
NAIA National Championship all four seasons.
The Gold Nuggets are 78-34 overall, 48-2 GCAC during Lobenstein's
tenure. The 2017 Gold Nuggets were 23-3 and set
XULA season per-set records of 13.33 kills, 12.50 assists, 2.32 aces and 1.76 blocks.
"Hilary was a big help to me in my first season at Xavier,"
said head coach Pat Kendrick. "She helps with training our student-athletes along with
monitoring their academic progress. She organizes team activities and helps with
recruiting new student-athletes. Along with her duties as an assistant coach,
she is involved in numerous activities in the Athletic Department."
Lobenstein was a graduate assistant volleyball coach at the University of West Alabama in 2012
and 2013. She earned bachelor's and master's degrees from UWA and played volleyball there.
She helped UWA go 51-19 in her two seasons and win the Gulf States Conference East Division championship in 2009.
Lobenstein is a native of Deerfield, Wis.
