• Assistant coach for two seasons at Indiana University Kokomo,
where he helped the Cougars go a combined 53-19 in their second (2013) and third (2014) seasons as an intercollegiate program
• Five seasons as an assistant coach at North Montgomery High School
in his hometown of Crawfordsville, Ind., where the Chargers were 123-45 during his tenure
• Helped his club team, the Irish Juniors of Indianapolis,
finish fifth in the boys 18 division of the 2007 Junior Olympics . . . Bowerman was a Swiss Army knife
for that team; he played defensive specialist, setter and outside hitter
• Attended college in his hometown, too . . . He received
his bachelor's degree from Wabash College in 2011, then obtained a master's from IU Kokomo in 2016 . . .
He was an honor student at both places
• He replaced Hilary Lobenstein, who was named head coach at NCAA Division II
West Alabama in February 2019
• What XULA head coach Pat Kendrick said when Bowerman was hired:
