In Her Own Words
•  How I became interested in my sport:  One of my friends made me try out with her in sixth grade for the middle school team and I was upset and angry the whole time and ready to leave to go to my softball practice!
•  Three words that describe me:  Caring, patient, funny
•  My goals for the 2017-18 academic year — academic, athletic, personal:  Academically, I want to make an overall 3.7 GPA for this year and make it into a medical program next summer. Athletically, I want to push myself to find ways to become a better teammate.
•  The most creative thing I do, or something creative I'd like to be able to do:  I love to bake and constantly make my own recipes or add my own twist to new recipes. I even got a Kitchenmaid mixer for Christmas!
•  The tastiest thing I can cook:  Maple apple crunch dessert
•  Favorite ice cream flavor:  Several — cookies and cream, chocolate chip cookie dough, butter pecan and mint chocolate chip
•  Special routine or superstition before I compete:  I have multiple bags of candy that I keep in my bag and depending on what kind of mood I'm in, I go for chewy, sour or chocolate, etc., flavored candy. But I don't eat too much.
•  My definition of success:  Being happy with myself and where I am in life
•  A movie title that would describe my life:  Eat Pray Love
•  The best advice I was ever given:  When you become older and have a career, choose a job that's going to make you feel as if you aren't going to "work." Find something that you actually enjoy and are excited to wake up to.
