2019 (Freshman)
• Set XULA season record for blocks per set with 1.05 — 97 blocks in 92
sets . . . Moira Kirk (2012) held the previous school record of 0.95
• Led the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference in blocks per set and ranked 38th in the NAIA
• Helped Gold Nuggets win a school-record 31 matches (31-9 overall) and
become the first XULA team to reach the NAIA National Championship Final Site
• Helped XULA repeat as GCAC regular-season and tournament champion
• Helped XULA attain its highest-ever national ranking: among "others receiving
votes" (29th place) in the NAIA postseason coaches poll (Dec. 12, 2019)
• Match highs: eight kills, .778 hitting, one ace, four digs, eight blocks
• Three times produced eight blocks, including Nov. 23, 2019, at home against William Carey —
most blocks ever by a Gold Nugget in a postseason match and XULA's first-ever victory during NAIA nationals
• Averaged 1.43 blocks per set (20 blocks, 14 sets) in four NAIA National Championship tournament matches
• Produced eight kills, a career high, three blocks and hit .375 in a four-set victory
against Wiley during the opening match of the UST Classic at Houston Oct. 11, 2019
High School
• Four-year starter
• Helped the Norcross Lady Blue Devils qualify for state playoffs all four of her seasons
• Member of three teams that won regional championships
• As a senior in 2018 she hit .462 with 221 kills, 68 aces and 81 blocks for
a team that won 32 matches and reached the round of 16 in the Class AAAAAAA state playoffs
• Chosen All-Region 7AAAAAAA three times
• Selected All-Gwinnett County as a senior in 2018
• As a sophomore (2016) Norcross was chosen Gwinnett County volleyball team of the year
• Was an A-student and made the honor roll multiple times
Club
• Played seven years of club volleyball, most recently with Tsunami
• Helped her teams qualify for USAV national tournaments her final three years
Personal
• Enjoys reading suspense thrillers
• Volunteered at a pharmacy and did social activities with individuals at her mother's day treatment program
• Her father, Herman Smith, holds the Kennesaw State University men's basketball record for career points
