TYLER, Texas — Xavier University of Louisiana hit .407 and served a season-high 14 aces Friday in a 25-3, 25-17, 25-13 Red River Athletic Conference volleyball victory against Texas College.
The Gold Nuggets (9-6 overall, 8-1 RRAC) increased their season-best win streak to five.
Leading XULA's attackers were
Vivica Price-Spraggins with 10 kills and a .692 hitting percentage and
Angela Egonu with nine kills and .500 hitting.
Kennedy Wade and
Semira Blair served four aces apiece, and
Emi Riglioni served three.
Alexandria Patton had five kills and a match-high five blocks for Texas College (0-8, 0-8).
XULA hit .889 — 16 kills with zero errors in 18 attacks — in the first set.
XULA will stay on the road and play Jarvis Christian in an RRAC match at 11 a.m. Saturday in Hawkins, Texas.
