XULA extended its season-high win streak to six games.
Virgil made two treys during a 10-3 surge late in the third quarter that put the Gold Nuggets (12-5 overall, 7-1 Red River Athletic Conference) ahead to stay.
Virgil scored a season-high 14 points, Kyla Duncan a season-high 11 and Destinee Pointer 10 for XULA, and O.C. Mbakop Ngassam had eight points, 12 rebounds and a career-high-tying six blocks.
Pointer produced game highs of six assists and four steals.

Briana Page (18.5 points per game) is out for the season because of an injury, and Daeja Monroe (12.9) is expected to play next week.
