        NEW ORLEANS — Xavier University of Louisiana is 10-0 after two more impressive home victories in its season-opening Battle in the Big Easy. XULA scored a school-record 95.03 points Friday to win an eight-team competition — city rival Loyola was second with 75.16 points — then defeated the Wolf Pack 94.1 to 83.1 in a dual match.
        XULA performed four times in the two-day event — it won a pair of duals Thursday — and scored at least 93.8 points in each. The highest possible score is 100.
       Next for XULA will be an NAIA unaffiliated group championship tournament Feb. 19 at Miami Gardens, Fla., with that winner qualifying automatically for nationals in March.
