TEXARKANA, Texas — Xavier University of Louisiana rallied from an eight-point third-set deficit Saturday, defeated Texas A&M-Texarkana 25-16, 19-25, 25-23, 25-18 and completed a two-match Red River Athletic Conference women's volleyball sweep.
The Gold Nuggets (15-4 overall, 12-0 RRAC) have won 12 straight and lead the conference. Defending champion Our Lady of the Lake, idle this weekend, is 9-1 in the RRAC and in second place.

The Gold Nuggets extended their winning streak to 38 in regular-season conference matches on opponents' courts. The last loss was in five sets at Talladega on Oct. 29, 2016, when XULA was a member of the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference. XULA joined the RRAC in July 2021 and since then is 17-0 in RRAC regular-season matches on opponents' courts.
The Gold Nuggets' only match next week will start at 6 p.m. Tuesday at XULA's Convocation Center against city rival Loyola. The Wolf Pack are 18-4 and receiving votes in the NAIA coaches poll.
