NEW ORLEANS —
Texas A&M-Texarkana defeated Xavier University of Louisiana
25-16, 25-16, 25-22 Saturday to complete a two-match Red River Athletic Conference
women's volleyball sweep.
The Eagles outhit the Gold Nuggets .314 to .057 in the first two sets,
and for the match TAMUT had a 46-29 advantage in kills.
Paulina Dobreva hit .357 with 11 kills, two aces and 15 digs for
the Eagles (20-4 overall, 6-0 RRAC), who won their eighth in a row.
Kaitlyn Cabral had 12 kills, and Kelby Coutee hit .500 with eight kills and three blocks.
Kennedy Campbell had eight kills and five blocks
for the Gold Nuggets (14-8, 2-2),
Taylor Parker had six blocks, and
Kamea Uitenham
and
Kendall Evans had seven kills apiece. Evans had four blocks.
The loss was the fourth in a row for XULA
and its third in four days at home.
