PINEVILLE, La. — Lauren Banks' game highs of 23 points, eight rebounds and four steals led NAIA No 18 Xavier University of Louisiana to a 71-52 Red River Athletic Conference women's basketball victory Saturday against Louisiana Christian.
        The Gold Nuggets (20-1 overall, 17-1 RRAC) reached 20 victories for the 26th time in the last 33 seasons and the 19th time in Bo Browder's 26 seasons as head coach.
        Banks equaled the most points in a game by a XULA player this season. She scored 17 in the first half to help the Gold Nuggets lead 37-30 at the break.
        Princis Goff and Kylei Leblanc scored 13 points apiece for the Wildcats (6-14, 6-12), who lost to XULA for the second time in three days.
        The Gold Nuggets will play Jarvis Christian at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in XULA's Convocation Center. It will be a doubleheader; the XULA men will play Jarvis at 7:30.
