Gold Rush, Lions tie at 1

        MIAMI, Fla. — Xavier University of Louisiana men's soccer and Florida Memorial played to a tie at 1 Saturday morning.
        The XULA men (1-0-1) will play their home opener at 7 p.m. Friday against NAIA No. 6 Mobile. Admission will be free at Lafreniere Park in suburban Metairie, La.
        After a scoreless first half, Artur Rubim gave XULA a 1-0 lead in the 60th minute with an assist from Guilherme Domingues. But 15 seconds later, the Lions (1-0-1) answered with a Rafael Coronado goal.
        After the scoring, XULA produced seven more shots on goal during the next 13 minutes — but Ricardo Delgado Vill saved them all.
        XULA had an 11-3 advantage overall in shots on goal. Florida Memorial did not have a shot on goal until the 42nd minute.
