Big Easy Blastoff schedule

        NEW ORLEANS — Doane University ended Xavier University of Louisiana's unbeaten season in women's volleyball with a 25-20, 25-22, 23-25, 25-19 victory Friday at XULA's Big Easy Blastoff.
        Sophomore Brooke Larsen led the Tigers (3-3) with 16 kills and 16 digs.
        Kamea Uitenham had 12 kills, three aces and a block for the Gold Nuggets (5-1), Kennedy Campbell and Sydney Murray had eight kills apiece, and Taylor Parker had seven blocks.
        XULA, which hit .239 during its win streak, hit .049 against Doane.
        Laila Person had three kills late to help XULA win the third set, but seven straight points in the fourth set put Doane ahead to stay at 10-3.
