Corrina Porch-Maxey had 18 kills and five blocks Saturday, and Jaci Drinnon had 39 digs
to lead the University of Mobile in a 25-17, 26-28, 25-20, 25-22 women's volleyball
victory against Xavier University of Louisiana.
The Rams (14-2) won their 11th in a row
at home dating to last season and snapped the season-best five-match win streak of the Gold Nuggets (12-4).
Mobile built leads of 17-6 in the first set
and 16-6 in the third set, and the Rams won after trailing 13-10 in the fourth.
Kamea Uitenham had 11 kills for XULA,
Taylor Parker had 10 kills and five blocks, and
Sydney Murray had eight kills, four blocks
and a career-best 20 digs. Murray is XULA's first this season to reach 20 digs in a match.

XULA will open its Red River Athletic Conference
schedule with matches at 6 p.m. Friday and noon Saturday in Tyler, Texas, against Texas College.
