Sunday, Xavier Athletic Director Patricia Kendrick, in conjunction with the Red River Athletic Conference, announced that the conference doubleheader between XULA and Louisiana Christian would be pushed to early February. 

The contests were originally slated for Tuesday, Jan. 27. However, with the state of Louisiana currently under an emergency declaration due to unusually cold conditions, a rescheduling was determined to be the safest way forward. 

Temperatures in New Orleans are expected to dip well below freezing Monday through Thursday this week. Road conditions between the Crescent City and Pineville could also prove hazardous thanks to a combination of temperatures expected to drop into the teens and freezing rain. 

Xavier and LCU will now play on Monday, Feb. 9, with the women's teams tipping off at 5:30 p.m. and the men following at 7:30.
