NEW ORLEANS - The Xavier men's basketball team followed its biggest win of the season with one of its largest margins of victory, a 75-47 blowout of Texas College in Red River Athletic Conference play Thursday night. 

XULA (18-9, 14-7 RRAC) outscored the Steers (5-21, 4-16 RRAC) 32-18 in the first half and 43-29 in the second. The big storyline of the game was bench scoring, as the Gold Rush outperformed Texas College 44-0 in that category.

Three of the four Xavier players to reach double-figure scoring came off the bench to do so. 

Nasir DeGruy scored a team-high 16 points and picked up 5 steals. Leon Williams put up 11 points and 4 rebounds, while Kerel Dean scored 10 points and pulled down 4 rebounds of his own.

Mason Guillory, the starter who scored in double figures, was good for 14 points. 

Other players who had strong games included Seviuhn Turner, Bentravin Phillips, and Elijah Wilson. 

Turner scored 7 points and grabbed 8 rebounds, while Phillips put up 8 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals, and Wilson pulled down 8 rebounds and scored 4 points. 

Xavier closes its 25-26 regular season with a Saturday home game against Jarvis Christian. Tipoff is scheduled for 3 p.m.
