Softball falls in Game 3 against TAMUSA

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The XULA softball team took a tough loss in Game 3 of their RRAC road series against Texas A&M San Antonio, falling 7-2 to the Jaguars.

Xavier surrendered 5 runs over the first 3 innings, which proved a hill too steep for the team to overcome despite an uptick in offense in later innings.

Three players had solid days at the plate.

Third baseman Jada Jones had the most complete game, going 1-for-3 with a triple, an RBI, and a run scored.

Catcher Amireeya Malveaux went 1-for-2 with a double, and designated player Arin Dale went 1-for-3 with a run scored.

Xavier returns to action Friday with the first two games of a three-game weekend conference series against nationally ranked Texas A&M Texarkana.
