XULA Rowing makes its NOLA debut

NEW ORLEANS - Last weekend, as part of the Tulane-hosted 2026 Louisiana State Championships, XULA Rowing competed in a collaborative scrimmage that brought together a diverse field of programs and athletes. 

The scrimmage format was designed as a series of timed 2,000-meter pieces, allowing each program to simulate race conditions and practice race execution as they prepare for their respective championship seasons. 

For XULA, the event served as an important opportunity to reinforce race strategy, build cohesion across lineups, and gain valuable experience in a competitive yet supportive environment. 

The team now shifts its focus to its final race of the season on May 12 at Lake Lanier, competing in the Women's Small Boat Initiative as they continue to build speed, discipline, and confidence.
