TYLER, Texas - The Gold Nuggets wrapped their 2026 conference schedule with a fifth consecutive win, and a third in a row via the mercy rule, with an 18-1 win over Texas College.

The pitching duo of Bella Rivera, who got the win, and Essynce Wallace combined to hold the Steer offense at bay, and the Xavier offense eclipsed 15 runs for the third time in as many games.

Center fielder Miya Covington, who batted second in the lineup, had a perfect day at the plate, going 5-for-5 with two doubles, 5 RBI, and 2 runs scored.

Shortstop Amaya Williams, batting cleanup, went 3-for-3 with a triple, 2 RBI, and 4 runs scored, while second baseman Destiny Lavinge, who successfully executed two sacrifice outs on the day, went 1-for-2 with a double, 3 RBI, and a run scored.

Designated player Kyliegh Peebles had a wonderful day, going 2-for-3 with 2 runs scored, while right fielder Arin Dale went 2-for-4 with a triple and 3 runs scored, and leadoff batter and left fielder Jada Jones were 2-for-4 with a double, 2 RBI, and 3 runs scored.

XULA's RRAC schedule might be over, but the team still has a regular-season doubleheader remaining, a Tuesday visit to the United States Sports University in Daphne, Alabama. First pitch of Game 1 is scheduled for noon.
