Men's Soccer falls to No. 13 John Brown in non-conference play

METAIRIE, La. - The Gold Rush took a tough loss Saturday night, falling 3-0 to a John Brown, a top-15 opponent. 

No. 25 Xavier (2-2), which defeated No. 18 LSU-Shreveport in its last outing, played No. 13 JBU (3-0) to a 0-0 tie at the break. 

However, goals in the 51st, 70th, and 77th minutes proved the difference. 

XULA's next match will be its first Southern Stats Athletic Conference contest, a home showdown with Thomas (Ga.) at 3 p.m. Thursday in Metairie's Lafreniere Park.
