In Her Own Words
• How I became interested in my sport: When i began to throw the javelin. Throwing the javelin came very easy and natural for me because I played softball also.
• Three words that describe me: Outgoing, caring, energetic
• My goals for the 2017-18 academic year — academic, athletic, personal: To continue to keep my grades up and learn more and more as I go on. This athletic year my goal is to go further than I did last season and also better myself for next season.
• The tastiest thing I can cook: Pasta
• Favorite ice cream flavor: Brides cake
• Special routine or superstition before I compete: I always listen to music to zone out and focus on the competition
• My definition of success: Being the best you can be at life. Being successful means to go as far as you can go and accomplish all of your goals in life. Success doesn't come with money or fame, but what you plan to achieve for yourself.
• The best advice I was ever given: Stay focused and never let anything get in my way of doing the best that I can. I was also told to never be afraid to ask for help when I need it.
