Box Score TOUGALOO, Miss. — Keithdrick Harris scored 13 of his 22 points in the second half Saturday to rally Tougaloo to a 52-49 Gulf Coast Athletic Conference men's basketball victory over Xavier University of Louisiana.
Mark Stewart had 12 points and four steals for Xavier (13-3 overall, 3-1 GCAC), and
Dannie Woods had 10 points and a career-high-tying seven rebounds.
Kelechi Okoroha grabbed 10 rebounds.
Terrance Benford had 11 points and eight rebounds for Tougaloo (8-7, 2-2), and Harris grabbed 10 rebounds. The Bulldogs, who shared the GCAC regular-season co-championship with Xavier this past season, rallied from a 46-41 deficit in the final 6:16.
The teams shot a combined 31 percent from the floor, and each committed 18 turnovers. Tougaloo shot 32.7 percent, and Xavier shot a season-low 29.6.
Xavier's next game will start at 7:30 p.m. Thursday against Mobile, which shares the GCAC lead with fourth-ranked LSU-Shreveport.
