Lindsey's six 3-pointers help Gold Rush win at Jarvis Christian

HAWKINS, Texas — Jeremy Lindsey's 22 points and six 3-pointers, both career highs, helped Xavier University of Louisiana earn an 82-75 Red River Athletic Conference men's basketball victory Saturday against Jarvis Christian.
The XULA men (17-7 overall, 12-5 RRAC) won their fourth in a row and their second in three days on the road. The Gold Rush will return to the road Monday to visit Louisiana Christian in a 7:30 p.m. RRAC makeup game.
Lindsey, a junior guard, made four first-half 3s to help XULA take a 47-31 halftime lead.
Lance Williams scored 18 points, Cory Wells 14 and Brian White 11 for XULA. Keyshun Bradley and Jakari Jackson scored 14 points apiece for the Bulldogs (7-14, 5-12).
XULA is in third place in the RRAC and one game in the loss column behind co-leaders LSU-Shreveport and Texas A&M-Texarkana, both 14-4. TAMUT will visit XULA Thursday.
