HAWKINS, Texas —
Jeremy Lindsey's 22 points and six 3-pointers, both career highs,
helped Xavier University of Louisiana earn an 82-75 Red River Athletic Conference
men's basketball victory Saturday against Jarvis Christian.
The XULA men (17-7 overall, 12-5 RRAC)
won their fourth in a row and their second in three days on the road.
The Gold Rush will return to the road Monday to visit Louisiana Christian
in a 7:30 p.m. RRAC makeup game.
Lindsey, a junior guard,
made four first-half 3s to help XULA take a 47-31 halftime lead.
Lance Williams scored 18 points,
Cory Wells 14
and
Brian White 11 for XULA. Keyshun Bradley and Jakari Jackson scored 14 points apiece for the Bulldogs (7-14, 5-12).
XULA is in third place in the RRAC
and one game in the loss column behind co-leaders LSU-Shreveport and Texas A&M-Texarkana,
both 14-4. TAMUT will visit XULA Thursday.
