Gold Nuggets climb one spot to No. 5 in NAIA coaches poll

        NEW ORLEANS — Xavier University of Louisiana climbed from sixth to fifth in the NAIA women's tennis coaches poll announced Wednesday.
        The Gold Nuggets are 4-2 with an active four-match win streak that includes victories against three ranked opponents: Lindsey Wilson, Indiana Wesleyan and city rival Loyola.
        The Gold Nuggets are:
        •  In the top 25 for the 87th consecutive time.
        •  In the top 20 for the 87th consecutive time.
        •  In the top 15 for the 46th consecutive time.
        •  In the top five for the third consecutive time.
        Next for XULA will be three matches in the Grizzly Invitational at Lawrenceville, Ga.: 1 p.m. Friday against Cumberland, 1 p.m. Saturday against No. 2 Georgia Gwinnett and 10 a.m. Sunday against No. 11 Lindsey Wilson. Times are Eastern.
        Keiser ended Georgia Gwinnett's streak of 30 consecutive appearances at No. 1. Keiser defeated Georgia Gwinnett 4-3 Feb. 5 in the title round of the ITA NAIA National Indoor Championships at Overland Park, Kan.
        The other poll dates this season: March 8, 22 and 29 and April 12 and 26.
