PDF of NAIA cheer honorees

        NEW ORLEANS — Xavier University of Louisiana sophomores Hailie Brown and Liyah Galbert were announced Wednesday as 2022-23 Daktronics NAIA Competitive Cheer Scholar-Athletes.
        Honorees have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 and completed at least one year at the nominating institution.
        Brown is a crime and social justice major from Evanston, Ill., and a graduate of Evanston Township High School. Galbert is a biology/pre-medical major from Little Rock, Ark., and a graduate of Central High School.
        XULA will compete as the defending champion Friday and Saturday at NAIA nationals in Ypsilanti, Mich.
