Coaches poll of March 8, 2023

        NEW ORLEANS — Xavier University of Louisiana remained No. 5 in the NAIA women's tennis coaches poll announced Wednesday.
        The Gold Nuggets (12-3) have won seven straight and 12 of their last 13. They have seven victories this season against ranked NAIA opponents.
        The Gold Nuggets are:
        •  In the top 25 for the 88th consecutive time.
        •  In the top 20 for the 88th consecutive time.
        •  In the top 15 for the 47th consecutive time.
        •  In the top five for the fourth consecutive time.
        This was the third poll of the season. A year ago the Gold Nuggets were 15th in the third poll.
        Next for XULA will be matches in Mobile, Ala.: noon Saturday against NAIA No. 15 Ave Maria at Cottage Hill Tennis Center and 10 a.m. Sunday against NAIA No. 6 Southeastern (Fla.) at Copeland-Cox Mobile Tennis Center. Times are Central.
        The other poll dates this season: March 22 and 29 and April 12 and 26.
