SAN ANTONIO, Texas —
Seth Alexander and
Blake Harris became Xavier University of Louisiana men's track and field's

build a 48-point lead at the Red River
Athletic Conference Championships.
XULA, the defending champion, scored 110
points. Our Lady of the Lake was second with 62. The meet's second and final day
will begin at 9:30 a.m. CDT Saturday at Antonian High School's Ferrara Stadium.

"Seth and Blake have been pushing
each other all season," XULA head coach
Yhann Plummer said.
"Today they took it to another level — a sensational level.
It's great to see them get these results after all their hard work in practice
and weight training."
Alexander repeated
as RRAC champion and won the triple for the third straight year in a
conference meet. Donald repeated as shot put champion and won
twice in conference for the second straight year.
Despite their third place in
the 400 relay, Rowe, Bell, Green and Eans produced an A-qualifying time
of 41.40 seconds for NAIA nationals next month.
An early evening thunderstorm
moved the javelin and 10,000-meter run to Saturday.
