2024 Red River Athletic Conference men's soccer standings
SHREVEPORT, La. —
For 43 minutes Thursday, Xavier University of Louisiana
stood firmly while playing 10-men-against-11. Then David Dancetovic's header
in the 87th minute after a Jack Thomas free kick gave LSU-Shreveport
a 1-0 Red River Athletic Conference soccer victory.
The Gold Rush (3-3-1 overall, 2-2 RRAC) will stay
on the road and play Texas A&M-Texarkana at 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
XULA managed only one shot on goal

and the Pilots clinched by clearing XULA's right-corner kick with 35 seconds remaining.

Jeremy Shortt was assessed a red card in the 44th minute.
The Pilots (6-2-2, 5-0) won their fifth
in a row and remained the Red River's only team with an unblemished conference record.
