Xavier University of Louisiana's
Skylah Barton placed ninth out of 27 runners Friday in
the women's division of the Red River Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships at Windcrest Golf Course.
Barton ran 6,000 meters in 25 minutes, 31.8 seconds,
and her top-10 finish earned her All-RRAC for the second time in this sport.
Also competing for the Gold Nuggets
were
Kayla Garrett, 17th in 30:07.0;
Vanessa Oladapo, 21st in 34:21.0;
Ariyanna Medrano, 22nd in 35:24.2;
Hannah Stoutmire, 23rd in 35:28.8; and
Kayla Jackson, 24th in 36:18.7.
XULA scored 85 points to place third out of four teams.
Host Our Lady of the Lake scored 20 points to repeat as team champion, and Texas A&M-Texarkana was second with 41.
OLLU's Mia Curiel won in 24:03.6.
