The NAIA announced today that two of the best Xavier women's soccer players to have taken the pitch for the Gold Nuggets in their brief history had been named to the prestigious All-America team.
Senior forward Samira Roper and junior defender Shakiana Dagher both earned Third-Team All-America honors.
The pair join former two-time All-American Luci Schroeder as thus far the only Gold Nuggets to earn All-America, a great record for a XULA team that has boasted at least one All-American in each of its three years of existence.
Roper, a native of Heredia, Costa Rica, graduate of Liceo de Santa Barbara, and former transfer from Eastern Florida State College, added to her lengthy list of 2025 accolades. She was already named Athletic Solutions RRAC Offensive Player of the Year.
Over the course of 19 matches in 2025, Roper scored an incredible 26 goals, fourth most in the nation. Her 55 total points ranked seventh in the NAIA.
Dagher, a native of Barquisimeto, Venezuela, graduate of Colegio Aplicacion, and former transfer from Arizona Western College, has already been named Athletic Solutions RRAC Defensive Player of the Year, after anchoring a defense that held opponents to less than a goal per game on average.
In 2025, Dagher scored 1 goal and dished out 8 assists, including four against North American on Oct. 18.
The entirety of the NAIA All-America team can be found on the organization's website.
