YPSILANTI, Mich. —
Xavier University of Louisiana produced a final score of 97.39 Saturday to finish
second out of 15 teams at the 2025 Nfinity NAIA Competitive Cheer National Championship.
Day-one leader St. Ambrose scored 97.95 points
to win its third consecutive national title, and for the second straight year the Bees
and XULA departed the meet with the highest scores in the meet's eight-year history.
XULA's 99.00 Saturday set an NAIA nationals record for highest one-performance score.
Final scores for each team were based on 25 percent of Friday's points and 75 percent of Saturday's.

XULA was fourth after Friday's preliminary round
but passed Dickinson State and Oklahoma City Saturday.
Dickinson State finished third at
96.38, and Oklahoma City — the only other team to beat XULA this season
— dropped to eighth at 88.27. Fourth-place Saint Mary (Kan.) with 92.02
and Indiana Wesleyan with 90.70 were the only other teams to reach 90 with their final score.
This is the fifth consecutive
top-6 finish for the Gold in six years as a varsity program. A recap:

Next for XULA will be its season finale:
the National Cheerleaders Association national championships April 9-12 at Daytona Beach, Fla.
XULA will enter that meet with a season record of 30-2.
