NEW ORLEANS — Xavier University of Louisiana's
Lance Williams has been named to the 2024-25 All-Louisiana men's basketball second team.
A Louisiana Sports Writers Association panel of
college publicists selected the team and major awards. The LSWA announced the team Sunday.
Williams — a 6-foot-1 guard from
Baton Rouge, La., and a graduate of St. Michael High School —
averaged 15.4 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.5 steals in 30 games for a 21-9 Gold Rush team
that finished second in the Red River Athletic Conference and qualified for NAIA nationals.
Williams was first-team All-RRAC and an RRAC Scholar-Athlete.
He finished 15th at XULA in career points with 1,378. He received his bachelor's degree from XULA May 10.
All-Louisiana men's basketball teams
date to the early 1970s. Williams is XULA's 15th to be chosen to the third team or higher.
