Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Gold Nuggets defeat Southwest (N.M.) 10-0

METAIRIE, La. — Samira Roper and Juliana Kottbauer combined for half the goals Saturday to lead Xavier University of Louisiana in a 10-0 Red River Athletic Conference women's soccer victory against the University of the Southwest.
Roper scored three times for the Gold Nuggets — she scored a school-record four goals Thursday — and Kottbauer scored twice. Roper's 12 goals this season make her the co-leader in the RRAC with Texas A&M-Texarkana's Desiree Narvaez and tie her for eighth in the NAIA.
Goalkeeper Paula Camus notched her first XULA victory.
XULA is 3-2-1 overall and 2-0 in the RRAC; Southwest is 0-8 and 0-2.
Next for the Gold Nuggets will be 1 p.m. conference road games against Texas A&M-San Antonio Thursday and Our Lady of the Lake Saturday.
