SAVANNAH, Ga. - The No. 11 Gold Rush logged an impressive win here Thursday, outperforming a strong No. 9 SCAD Savannah for a huge, 5-2 road victory. 

Xavier (4-2) used a sweep of the doubles matches and great performances on the back end of its singles lineup to secure the win. 

In doubles, the pairings of Christian Sanchez and Nereo Suarez and Martin Rivera and Gabriel Velez took comfortable wins, and the duo af Edilson Rosa and Emmanuel Jebutu were ahead in their match when it was called due to the doubles point having been awarded. 

Sanchez, playing at No. 3 in the singles, then defeated Ahmed Abdelaziz 6-2, 6-1, while Jebutu defeated Patricio Medrano 6-1, 6-7(4), 6-2 at No. 4, Rosa bested Gonzalo Lopez 6-1, 6-2 at No. 5, and Rivera downed Henri Wieber 4-6, 6-0, 6-2 at No. 6. 

Xavier plays match 2-of-3 in the Coastal Invitational on Friday in the form of a visit to the College of Coastal Georgia.
