MOBILE, Ala. - The Xavier women's tennis team remains undefeated in NAIA play thanks to a 6-1 road win over the University of Mobile on Saturday. 

The Gold Nuggets (2-2) swept the doubles matches to take the point available in that area, with the teams of McKenna Wheatley and Maja Brnic (6-1), Ana Sabikova and Makai Sales (6-0), and Laura Lopez and Sydney Green (7-5) all besting their opponents. 

Xavier took 5 of 6 singles matches as well, with Brnic besting Mobile's Karolina Mrowiecova 6-4, 7-5 in the day's most competitive match. 

In the No. 4 singles, Valeria Ortega orchestrated an impressive comeback. After falling 6-4 in the first set, Ortega rallied to win 6-1 and 6-3 to claim the point.

Sabikova (6-1, 7-5), Wheatley (6-2, 6-1), Anais Yakan (6-1, 6-1), also registered wins.

Xavier will get an extended break before its next match, a Feb. 16 visit to William Carey.
