ROME, Ga. - The Gold Nuggets won their fourth consecutive match and their third straight against a Top 25 opponent Friday, defeating No. 13 Cumberlands (Ky.) 4-2 in the NAIA Blast Off Tournament. 

Xavier (9-4), which is ranked No. 4 in the nation, took the doubles point with wins by Ana Sabikova and Makai Sales at No. 2 and Asadah Ma'at and Valeria Ortega at No. 3. 

Sabikova and Sales defeated Victoria Zarate and Bryndis Rosa 6-0, and Ma'at and Ortega defeated Rion Yanuma and Marina Nagai 6-3. 

XULA also got singles wins from three competitors. 

Brnic defeated Nagai 6-2, 6-2 at No. 1, while Wheatley defeated Rosa 6-0, 3-6, 6-0 at No. 2, and Sabikova defeated Zarate 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 at No. 3. 

Xavier concludes its Blast Off appearance Saturday with a game against another top team, No. 6 Tennessee Wesleyan.
