Xavier falls 4-1 to No. 2 Tennessee Wesleyan

ROME, Ga. - The Xavier men fell in a competitive, 4-1 match against Tennessee Wesleyan, the No. 2 team in the nation, Saturday in NAIA Blast Off Tournament. 

Xavier (9-5), which is the No. 4 team in the NAIA, got a strong showing from No. 2 single Christian Sanchez, who represented the team's single point with a 7-5, 6-4 win over Serafin Zund.

Although the Gold Rush did not earn the doubles point, Sanchez and Nereo Suarez defeated Lucas Perez and Lucas Grana 6-2 in the No. 1 pairs match. 

XULA's tough schedule continues next week with a home match against No. 5 Missouri Baptist on Thursday.
