NEW ORLEANS, La. - The No. 6 Xavier women's tennis team logged its second consecutive win over a nationally ranked opponent here Saturday, defeating No. 17 Our Lady of the Lake 4-0. 

XULA (7-4) got the doubles point and swept the No. 1, 2, and 3 singles matches. 

In the doubles matches, the No. 1 pair of McKenna Wheatley and Maja Brnic defeated Anja Pisar and Maéva Chambon 6-1, while the No. 3 pair of Laura Lopez and Valeria Ortega defeated Marie Peters and Ely Laure Ah-sou 6-4.

Brnic also defeated Carolina Guerrero 6-3, 6-1 in the No. 1 singles, while Wheatley took the point at the No. 2 spot because of opponent retirement, and No. 3 Ana Sabikova defeated Marie Peters 7-5, 6-3.

Next up for Xavier is a Wednesday non-conference home match against Drury.
